An absolute treat!

Pâté truffles

A delicious spread with a crunch.

Fancy looking plant-based pâté truffles with a surprise. The vegan cream cheese and the blend of nuts and spices give you an interesting mixture of flavours. It doesn’t have to be a special occasion, these are perfect on crackers or over toasted baguette slices as an appetizer, morning tea or afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • Vegan cream cheese
  • 2 chubs of mild or spicy Plantcraft pâté
  • Pistachio nuts
  • Chilli
  • Cranberries
  • Pecan nuts
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Hemp seeds

Instructions

Take a teaspoon of vegan cream cheese, roll it into a ball then cover it with Plantcraft pâté. Chill them in the fridge while you prepare the coating.

We used finely chopped cranberries, mint leaves and pecan nuts for extra crunch. The chilli complements the pistachio and adds a bit of heat. For more simple version, use hemp seeds. Roll the pâté balls into the coat toppings.

Serve them immediately or keep them refrigerated as a surprise for your evening guests.
